I got a new bike. It doesn’t have multiple gears or a free wheel.

So you bought a track bike, interesting. Is there a reason why you chose that instead of a single speed that does have a freewheel, and even two breaks?
I think it would be interseting to try one of those, but I’m not sure I’d like it… The one thing I think woudl be wierd would be going down a hill and your legs flying all over the place trying to keep up with the pedals. I’m sure the clipless pedals will help with that though…
Looks like a nice purchase though

Fixed gears are more of a work out. They’re more fun too.
My old old bike’s a single gear. It was fun too.
I’m mainly, at least to start, going to use this on my flat 2 mile commute to work, or my flat 2.5 mile ride to the radio station. I’ll tackle hills (both up and down) later.
