The California Department of Motor Vehicles has certified me to ride “any two-wheel motorcycle, motor-driven cycle, motorized scooter, motorized bicycle, or bicycle with an attached motor”.
Fewer class restrictions! Victory for the proletariat!

Did you decide to get your motorcycle license after all your scooter riding in Taiwan? Do you have any plans to purchase “any two-wheel motorcycle, motor-driven cycle, motorized scooter, motorized bicycle, or bicycle with an attached motor Was getting your certification hard? I guess 3 questions is enough.

I’ve thought on and off about getting a scooter as far back as when I was still in Boston, but the scooter time in Taiwan definitely propelled the idea. I may buy a scooter (specifically, I’m pretty keen on the Bajaj Chetak) but I’m in no huge rush. Getting the extra class on the license was a bit involved: I took a class that got me out of the riding test and then I had to take the written test.
