low on carson, pt. 2

They played “California” like I thought they would.

They were good. But geez do they need to get a new sound person. Once again the vocals were totally wrong in the mix. They sounded very detached. In a band where the male and female vocals intertwining really make the sound, it’s pretty bad if it sounds like the two voices don’t know the other one is singing.

The same thing happened when Death Cab was on Carson.

Do they have someone that travels with them? I know Pedro the Lion does, but I’m not sure about Low.
I can see an engineer that isn’t used to their sound having trouble balancing strong male/female vocals.

Or it might have been the monitor engineer – it’s possible that Alan and Mimi really couldn’t hear each other.

It sounded like the voices are separated from each other and from the music. They sounded like they were singing at the same time and in tune with each other, but they sounded like they were singing each in different places and the music was in a third place.
