As a bearded man, I appreciate this analysis of the beards of Roethlisberger and Plummer and their effect on the outcome of the AFC championship game.

The New York Times also had an article about their beards. I think maybe they are going to become “in” because of all of this.

And, now we’ve got another way in which the indie rawk world is ahead of the curve. I just have to wonder about how some of these teams would have done with Bonnie Prince Billy as their quarterback.

I’ve put the text of the NY Times article here.
Indie rawk really is ahead of the curve.

By the way – Ben says he’s shaving the second the season is over. He even said the only bad thing about losing last Sunday was having to keep the beard another few weeks.

Losing, Milkshake? Ben and the Steelers won last week, and are now headed to the Super Bowl. Super Bowl XL. Man, can I say how annoying it is that people are calling this one “Super Bowl Extra Large”? That is so dumb. And then they always make reference to Jerome Bettis because he’s a big dude. If they’re going to talk about extra large, they should look at Casey Hampton. That guy is obese. But they really just shouldn’t mention the extra large thing at all.

Oops – I meant NOT losing. I’m ashamed that a rare Jeff Miller appearance on this blog was to correct me. I know the Steelers are in the Super Bowl. I’m going. With my father.
I like when people say Super Bowl X-tra Large with an X instead of an “ex” – it’s so X-treme!

I’m sorry to have shamed you, Milkshake. I’m glad that you and your dad get to experience this dream-come-true event next week. Go Stillers!
